About me!
More than Just a Clear Sky was written and illustrated by Arjun Nair when he was eleven years old. From intricately dissecting the nuances of nature to infusing inanimate objects with whimsical humor, his artistic imagination knows no bounds. Born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, he is now twelve years old and lives with his mom, dad, and sister in Midlothian, Virginia.
Arjun has won several awards and recognitions for his writing, including first place for Outstanding Interpretation in Literature in the 2023 National PTA Reflections Contest at the county level and in 2022 at the county and district levels. His writing also earned him third place in poetry in the county-wide competition for the 2024 Write Now! Contest. Several of his literary pieces, art, and photography have been published in the Stone Soup magazine and blog. As a regular blogger for Stone Soup, Arjun continues to contribute to the platform by writing book reviews and indulging in creative expression through his art, prose, and poetry.
Arjun’s talents also extend beyond the realms of literature and art. He is a budding musician who enjoys playing the violin and piano. He is also a USCF-rated chess player with a string of achievements in local, state, and national chess tournaments. More than anything else, Arjun is driven by the desire to make a difference in the community and strives to leave his mark. He believes in the power of art and writing to transform lives and hopes to use his creative strengths to positively impact the community.
